Sadhan Chakraborty was born in Asansol, West Bengal, graduated from Asansol College, completed his MA and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. After completing his education, he joined Jadavpur University as a professor in the Department of Philosophy. Subsequently, in 2022, he was appointed as the Vice President of Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol.
