Currently, various leaders of the state government of West Bengal are accusing the ministers of being involved in various corruptions and the names of various leaders and ministers are coming up one after another in new corruption cases from cow smuggling. There have been several allegations of recruitment corruption such as bribery and giving jobs to one's own relatives. Another SSC candidate Babita Sarkar has filed a complaint against Ankita Adhikari, daughter of Trinamool leader and former SSC minister Paresh Adhikari of West Bengal's Mekhligonj. Babita Sarkar alleged that the result of the School Service Commission examination which was conducted in 2016 was published in November 2017. It can be seen that Babita got three marks less than Sarkar and later Sarkar's daughter Ankita Adhikari got the job. After this matter was reported to the Board of SSC i.e. School Service Commission but they did not take any action then Babita Sarkar approached Calcutta High Court.

According to the rules, the marks obtained by Ankita Adhikari are three marks less than the marks obtained by Babita Sarkar and still she got the job and has been working for three years and four months.
The Calcutta High Court heard the entire matter and Justice Abhijit Ganguly suspended the minister, Ankita Adhikari, Sarkar's daughter, and appointed Babita Sarkar in the same school, ordering her to return her salary with interest.
Controversy :
• After the minister's daughter Ankita Adhikari's job was given to Babita Sarkar, another information came to the fore. It is seen that the academic score of Babita Sarkar was wrongly given by the SSC Commission by two marks. If she gets two marks less then her merit list will go back one rank, as a result Anamika Roy will get the job instead of Babita Sarkar. Anamika Roy brought this matter before the court
. After this matter came to the fore, the Calcutta High Court returned Babita Sarkar's job to Anamika Roy and directed her to return the Rs 15 lakhs she had received to Anamika Roy.
