At present, the leaders of the ruling party of West Bengal are being arrested one after another in the recruitment corruption case of West Bengal. Hooghly Youth Trinamool Congress leader Kuntal Ghosh to former West Bengal education minister and Trinamool leader Parke Chatterjee were arrested last year in the recruitment corruption case. Assets worth around fifty crore rupees were recovered from his lover Arpita Chatterjee's flat.

• Who is Santi Prasad Sinha (S P Sinha ) ? 

Shanti Prasad Sinha is a former adviser and chairman of the former West Bengal Service Commission. In August 2022, he arrested him for allegedly involved in the recruitment corruption case and kept him in police custody.

Aftermath : - 

Last year, CBI officials recovered crores of rupees from Raj's former education minister Partha Chatterjee and his lover Arpita Chatterjee's flat. Yesterday CBI officials raided former SSC chairman and advisor Shanti Prasad Sinha's flat on the basis of investigation. Shanti Prasad Sinha was arrested in August last year for his alleged involvement in the recruitment scam. However, no evidence was found against him. 

After a year in police custody and CBI district. CBI officials came to know that Shanti Prasad Sinha has a flat named Benam, CBI raided the right there yesterday. After going to that flat, the CBI officials were shocked to find one and a half kg of gold with a market value of more than one crore.

Also cash of 50 lakh rupees which is filled with bundle boxes of 500 , 2000 rupees and a list of names of about 1500 job aspirants were found.

According to CBI officials, Shanti Prasad Sinha was hoarding corruption money by hiring in anonymous flats. However, opposition leader Subhendu Adhikari says that this amount is very little and it is only the tip of the iceberg. If the CBI investigates, the whereabouts of more money will be found.

• Special CBI court of Alipore rejects bail plea of former School Service Commission (SSC) adviser Shanti Prasad Singh, caught in recruitment corruption case. The judge ordered Shanti Pasad Sinhar, who has been in jail for almost eleven months, to be remanded in jail till July 18.
