Gopal Dalapati was born on 28th January 1963 in East Medinipur. His father's name is Kalipada Dalpati, in his early life he studied at a local school in East Medinipur. Later he did his post graduation from Calcutta University.
The police have many allegations against him, from recruitment corruption to financial scan seat fund he is seriously accused.
In 2018, he and his wife together opened an illegal investment company named Jeanette Adworld and tried to escape by defrauding the investors of about 800 crore rupees. After that he spent some time in jail in Delhi, he was released on bail in 2022
Then in 2023, officers of the Enforcement Directorate found links to Gopal Dalpati while investigating the accused in the SSC recruitment scam in West Bengal. He was then called to the CGO complex in Salt Lake for questioning.
