Birbhum district president Anubrata Mondal and his daughter Sukanya Mondal are facing various cases ranging from job manipulation to cow smuggling. Anuvrata Mondal was taken into custody after being interrogated in the cow smuggling case. He is currently in Tihar Jail.

 The Enforcement Directorate sent officials to see Sukanya Mondal, daughter of Anubrata Mondal, for questioning in the cow smuggling case. He was taken into custody last Wednesday after eight hours of continuous interrogation. The Enforcement Directorate has several complaints against Sukanya Mandal.

 Sukanya Mondal has been uncooperative to the Enforcement Director and has been unable to explain the reconciliation of her income and expenditure. Sukanya Mandal is a primary school teacher in West Bengal so her monthly income is 50 thousand rupees.
