Kothakota Srinivas Reddy was born in 1970 in a middle class farming family in Kerala, his father was a common farmer and his mother was a housewife. From an early age he was very interested in studies and sports, he completed his primary education in a local government school in Kerala. While in school, he participated in various school sports such as swimming
Attended, after secondary examination, he started studying science department. Vigyan Vish Bhagne passed his higher secondary with 89% marks. He then completed his graduation and post graduation in Political Science and International Relations. After completing his education, he expressed his desire to join the Indian administrative department and started his UPSC preparation from a popular UPSC coaching center in Delhi. After two years of tireless work, he cleared the (UPSC Civil Services) Union Public Civil Service Examination in his second attempt. He was elected to the Indian Police Department under Telangana Kerala.
