=> Ravi Gupta is a 1990 batch Indian Police Officer (IPS) of the Telangana cadre. He was earlier the chief officer of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana. On Sunday 3 December 2023, the Election Commission appointed the new Director General of Police (IPS) of Telangana.

IPS Ravi Gupta was born on 25 October 1965, in a Hindu lower middle class family in Kerala. His father's name was Balmukund Gupta, a local businessman and his mother was a housewife. He was very interested in studies since his childhood, completed his primary education in a local government school in Kerala and after graduating, he expressed his dream of joining the civil service to his family. In 1986, he came to Delhi from Kerala to prepare for the exam after four attempts and became an Indian Police Officer (IPS) after clearing the UPSC Civil Service Exam.

He completed his primary education from a government school in Kerala and then completed his Masters in Economics in 1986. Then came to Delhi to prepare for UPSC Union Public Civil Service Examination.

Ravi Gupta came to Delhi from Kerala in 1987 to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination there after about three attempts, he cleared the UPSC examination for the fourth time in 1990 and started his career as an Indian Police Officer (IPS). Joined Telangana Cadre as IPS Officer. He then served in several different posts under the Government of Telangana and performed his duties with full responsibility and devotion. In November 2022, he served as Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) under Telangana Government.
