In the New York 16th congressional district, two people from the Democratic and Republican parties, Mr. Latimer and Mr. Bowman contested the election process.

In the New York 16th congressional district, two people from the Democratic and Republican parties, Mr. Latimer and Mr. Bowman contested the election process. America Israel Public Affairs (IPAC) spent nearly $15 million to unseat a left-wing representative in New York's 16th congressional district, according to a New York Times report. In addition, various other organizations spent a total of twenty-four million dollars, which is unique in the history of American politics.
Mr. Bowman, a former teacher, won the 2020 Republican nomination. In the 2024 election, the US president criticized the Israeli government for supporting it, and accused Israel of committing genocide.
On the other hand, the rival of the Democratic Party Mr. Latimer supported Israel in the Israeli and Palestinian wars and thanked the American government for supporting Israel.
