Dr. Tasneem Suhrawardy was born in 1965 in Gurgaon, Delhi to a middle class family, her father Syed Saeedul Haq and her mother Shahida Suhrawardy. She was an academically brilliant student from a young age, completing her primary education from a local school in Delhi. Then in history, the graduate completed higher education by answering and researching. After completing his education, he joined as a teacher, and while teaching, he also researched history.

Dr Tasneem Suhrawardy father name Syed Shahidul Haque and mother name Shahida Suhrawardy. They have three children his younger brother name is Anis Suhrawardy he is a popular lawyer, his one sister Nilofar Suhrawardy is a journalist.

Educational Qualification : - 

Dr. Tasneem Suhrawardy completed her primary education at a local school. In 1981, he was admitted to St. Stephen's College under Jawaharlal Nehru University with honors in history, and graduated in history in 1984. After that in 1986 MA in history from Jawaharlal Nehru University and completed his doctorate in 1990 by doing research on medieval Asian history.

Career / profession : - 

Dr Tasneem Suhrawardy joined St. Stephen's College under Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1992 as Professor of History. While teaching, he researched medieval history in more detail, and as a result published several research papers and books. He has been teaching for the last thirty years from 1992 to 2023. His associate professor said that scholars of Asian medieval history like Dr Tasneem Suhrawardy are very few in India and in the whole world. Dr Tasneem Suhrawardy was a very dear friend of mine along with my colleague, we have been teaching in the same college for the last 30 years.

Cause Of Death : - 

Dr Tasneem Suhrawardy was admitted to Fotis Hospital in Delhi last Tuesday 20th December 2023 due to heart problem, she was suffering from physical deterioration for several years. He had a heart problem and breathed his last in the hospital on the morning of 26 December 2023.
