Krishnaswamy Subrambhan was born on January 19, 1929 in Madras, British India. He was admitted to Presidency College, Madras and received his MSc degree in Chemistry from Madras University in 1950. After getting his MSc degree in Chemistry, he took the Civil Servant Exam of India 1950-51 and passed it.



 From 1952 he was duly engaged in administrative service in India. After that, Krishnaswamy Subrambhan handled the responsibility of several ministries for the Government of India.
