Currently the ruling party in West Bengal (All India Trinamool Congress) is exhausted. Several big political leaders of their party are involved in various scams like embezzlement of government funds, cow smuggling, SSC scam.

Everyone from the gram panchayat to the party at every level is involved in scams at some point or the other. One of them is Shantanu Banerjee, accused of involvement in West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) corruption.

They gave jobs by taking bribe from job seekers. He has now been summoned by India's Central Intelligence Agency (CBI) and ED for questioning.

Sushant Banerjee is an ordinary employee of the state electricity department. As a job salary, he earns a maximum of six lakh rupees annually. But officials of the Enforcement Directorate are not finding any reconciliation between its income and expenditure. As for his job, where his annual expenditure is Rs.

6 lakh, his expenses are much higher than that. He also owns a dhaba and a homestead. The question of enforcement directorate holders is how he became the owner of dhaba and homestay from the annual income of six lakh rupees? Santanu Banerjee could not give any correct answer to this question. 

Santana Banerjee was arrested on Friday night and produced in court on Saturday. The court ordered him to remand for two days. Also Shantanu's wife (Priyanka Banerjee) is a housewife but has multiple properties in her name, Enforcement Directorate searched Shantanu's house last January. 

Then asks Shantanu about his income and expenses! It shows that Shantanu Banerjee bought several properties and gave them in the name of his wife. There is a restaurant and dhaba called "Da Spoon" near Shantanu's house in Zirat.

 The dhaba was built in 2021, there were four families living in the area where the dhaba was built, Shantanu said to buy the land and resettle those families but they have not been given the land yet. Despite being an ordinary employee of the electricity department, his lifestyle was royal, expensive cars, expensive houses, restaurants, dhabas, flats, land were all available to him. Virdhis raised questions about how an ordinary power department worker could own so much.
